ENS Lori C reports:  It's a small world; LT. Jim C’s (previous Mt. Juliet resident & high school friend) helo landed on the football field at Biloxi High School; the high school was used as a shelter and hospital during Hurricane Katrina and in the weeks following it. CRTS-8 (the platform we were attached to while deployed) sent medical personnel (doctors, corpsmen, and nurses) out to assist in the ER portion of the hospital, where we were seeing about 70+ patients a day. Jim was dropping us off, and picking up the crew that we were relieving.

Lori recently contacted me to let me know she enjoys this Navy site and & shared the following with me; "I was deployed to the USS Bataan in support of the Katrina relief back in September and was very surprised to see LT. Jim C. (Mt. Juliet) 01' in the wardroom one day! His squadron was there doing relief. I actually got to ride with him on the way to a mission we did at Biloxi High School. It was quite the “full circle” evolution to come from being buddies with Scott & Jim in High School through a mutual friend to having  LT. Jim fly me to help out in “real life” relief efforts!

IMPRESSIVE PICTURE!
God Bless our Military!!

If you don't think our military pilots earn their pay ... you need to take a look at this picture .. and then look again and realize what
you're seeing .  This photo was taken by a soldier in Afghanistan of a helo rescue
mission. The pilot is a PA Guard guy who flies EMS choppers in civilian life. Now how many people on the planet you reckon could set
the rear end of a chopper down on the roof top of a shack on a steep mountain cliff and hold it there while soldiers load wounded men in
the rear??? If this does not impress you ... nothing ever will.  Gives me the chills and a serious case of the vertigo ... I can't
even imagine having the nerve ... much less the talent and ability  ...
God Bless our military..in every branch!!!!!!
